alomex, it sounded to me like amzn will run distribution and borders cutting 70 jobs. did i misunderstand? That is correct. Amazon will distribute borders books. In practice this means that a portion of the Amazon distribution network will now be used by one of their competitors. Very little money will flow from Borders to Amazon as per the press release. This suggests that most of the bills will be paid by Borders directly to third parties (distribution centers, S&H, cost of goods).
