"If someone doesn't understand the market, does that make them stupid?"

Only if they trade it. Dumb money always becomes smart money. Either the owner quits being dumb, or the money ends up in an account with other smart money.

Regards,

Barb

In the case of AMZN and the market, I would define a stupid person as someone who invests without knowledge.

As an example (one of many), I read on the KREM Yahoo board where one of the KREM bears was relating how his brother-in-law was telling him that he was going to double his money because the stock was splitting. He didn't mean that it was going to run back up in price, he meant that he would have twice as much money at the time the stock split as he did before it.

I have found that stocks like AMZN that experience manias while never turning a profit have by far the most followers who fit into this group of possessing little if any knowledge about the stock market, about business fundamentals, and about earnings. (KREM does not fit into this group of companies that have never turned a profit, it's just way overvalued, in my opinion.)

As far as Anthony being flippant with his remarks, we all have our own opinions, naturally. I personally enjoy reading his posts and am thankful to him for sharing his knowledge of the stocks that he discusses here.

My earlier point stands, though -- saying that Anthony has disdain for people is a bit of a stretch. No offense to you personally, of course.
