Nobody knows anything for sure. All I do is play probabilities assuming long term down trend in INTC. If I am right about the trend I am making money by shorting rallies. If trend reverses I may get caught with my shorts down. That will make all of you very giddy.

Hi Mary,
Nice Post.
< You are basically playing with short term volatility and succeeding.... But treat lady luck with some respect >

Excellent observations ! Kap shorted Intel at $75 but covered the short while Intel was still in mid-60s. He could have made a bundle on that position if he had the courage of his convictions. He has shorted Intel on several occassions but covered after a drop of a few points.

Playing the volatility is a dangerous game. A person dear and close to me was burnt playing this game. The person would play the volatility game, and cover the position after making a little bit of money on that position. However ten percent of the time the stock would move suddenly and violently in the opposite direction to the position, with no time to exit. This bad positions would wipe out most of the gains made in ten other good positions.

So I agree with you that Kap should treat lady luck with respect. Who knows, Intel could really turn around anyday !

Regards
