Bob ..

you caught me logging in at lunch time ... have been in the yard preparing some flower beds .....

>>>>Any problem mixing PC600 Rdram @ 300mhz and @266mhz

I've NOT tried mixing "these particular" sticks ...
but
in the past with other mhz sticks, I have used trial and error ... what you're doing right now .... ggggg

I was on the phone with my son a few minutes ago and we were laughing concerning things VERRRRRY closely related to this trial and error method ....
we have termed it ====> give it the ol smoke test

I find that ...
if it works and I can't smell anything burning, it is ok ....
and, unfortunately, he has followed in my footsteps .... gg

He is in the prepratory stages of building a "server/pc/box" for his fledgling skydive photo business .. pup will run dual Pen4 1.5GB CPUs and six(6) 60-100 GB hard drives ...
we both agreed that this particular piece of equipment is a tad bit to pricy for our ol "smoke test" .....

Back to your question ... I can see nothing harmful with the mixing ... the only thing that would possibly be untoward is that they all would run at the speed of the slowest ... ie .266mhz

On another subject ...
I got my greedy little fingers on the new Dell P4 1300 with 256k of PC800 yesterday afternoon in the office of my wife....
hey .. I "might" have to get me one of those .....gggggg

it is NICE and FAST
