just completed some interviews at a consulting firm in Pittsburgh a spinoff from Carnegie Mellon 20-30 yrs ago got many strong people went thru the interview ringer last week again yesterday for a toplevel ambush of sorts probably will join them in a couple weeks time serious mixed feelings about it all: excited to contribute professionally and deal with challenges intellectually (not as much intellectual timber remains, honestly) looking forward to be part of a team again sad as hell about the last year a big hole in my heart from the losses, never to forget during the interview last week, BrunHilda came up I actually used her nickname to my CMU contact when talked he was Business School professor when I knew him he was dismayed at BH's actions, so counter-productive I summed it up by saying "she did not invest in her people, either financially or emotionally... and had a perverse opposite belief to the NotInventedHere syndrome... she valued external work more than her own people's excellent work [like mine]" I hope BrunHilda still has a few yellow stained sheets to remember me by when in Philly last spring I bought two Gift Certificates for Kevorkian office visits BrunHilda might receive one anonymously might have to send it to a Boston buddy to mail always thinking lately cracking open about 6-8 old dense statistics textbooks I suspect the economy will have summertime difficulty to truly revive you can find me regularly on the Mullineaux Buffalo thread, on Voltaire's Porch, and on Steve's Channeling thread but I dont invest much anymore my future financial foundation will be built upon an inheritance unless Ruffian adopts my sorry ass / JW
