Neocon,
Pakistan's news establishment is not same as that of China's. Keep in mind they were instrumental in forming a public opinion against Nawaz Sharief and Benazir Bhutto's corrupt regimes.

In fact the media in this country can be classified into three categories.
1. Republican/conservative mouthpiece
2. Democratic/liberal mouthpiece
3. Independent

The last category is hard to find in developed country like US but you can find them in abundance in third world countries including some of the countries ruled by dictators.

During International crisis US media usually parrots US administration line. Truth comes out few days later when the rhetoric is down. International community (dictators included) don't see to US viewpoint as much as they see chinese.
Come to think about it, is it OK if I legally keep driving around your house (outside the perimeter ofcourse) listening in or watching all of your activies whenever possible? That's called stalking

Who cares what a mouthpiece for dictatorship may think?

Can't you leave W's father out of it?

6/30/81 "We love your adherence to democratic principle, and to the democratic processes." - George Bush, toasting newly re-inaugurated President Ferdinand Marcos

Of course, W's father and his predecessor had extensive dealings with "democracy" in Pakistan also, what with all those yearly certifications, or should we say fabrications, that Pakistan wasn't working on nuclear weapons, so they could keep the war in Afghanistan going smoothly. And look what a beacon of democracy, freedom, and prosperity Afghanistan is today.
