Except, next time, it won't be Chinese fighters vs. an unarmed EC-3, they'll have F-16s keeping them company that will fly rings around your rubber band wind-up fighters... lets see how brave they are then...

When is the last time a Chinese fighter, or a fighter used by China, shot down an American fighter?

>>We(the U.S.) invented the 200 mile concept and enforce it vigorously in U.S. air and waters.<<
You are right. So go ahead the US military, keep sending spy planes to China's border. This time China is just sending a message/warning. Looks like few US people got it. Last time I heard there are only 10 this kind EP-3 spy plane in service. So 1 down, 9 to go. HeHe.
==========================<<

If you read your own link, you'll see that the 200 mile limit is economic. If you'll read what you pasted below, you'll see that "reporting in" is what is required in an ADIZ. This is not the same thing that China is asserting.

>>ZONES OF INFLUENCE
So what governs military aircraft?

Well, the United States has an air defense identification zone that extends 200 miles off our coast. We require that any foreign military aircraft flying within that zone must report in or risk retaliatory action. <<

China can talk tough all they want, but the fact is that they have a lot more to lose in this situation than we do. We've already undergone our industrial revolution. Despite all of the talk about CDMA here, Many Chinese would be happy to have running water. We capitalist Tools in the west are China's only hope to become competitive. Sucks to be them....

I am frankly surprised that we didn't have top cover present, I'm sure some admiral is putting in his retirement paperwork as we speak. That won't happen again.

How would you like it if somebody posted, "Hey, another Chinese fighter pilot dead and down, a bunch more to go. Hehehehehehe. ;)"

Laughing at injury, or risk of injury, is sad.....and speaks volumes about where your head is at.

Good thing most of us don't think like you do.
BTW, your profile is curiously unfilled in. Hiding anything?
