You know, $300 is a much more reasonable price for the previous generation when your latest and greatest will debut for $400 in a few weeks. Much better difference than the $50 originally publicised!

I don't know what people are worried about a price war for. I know of a friend that bought a Palm V (not the "x") for ~$270 almost 2 years ago. PALM cannot be paying more than $10 for the extra memory chip. If you consider the typical pace of semic conductor price declines, I would think that PDA prices have held up pretty well over the years!
