Personally, I find moving averages very useful in a strongly trending environment.

In a non-trending or weakly trending environment, I believe bollinger bands could be useful in helping to determine upper and lower boundaries for trading purposes. I have not used this much though.

Also, wanted to bring attention back to the MDS stock that someone pointed out a few days ago.

Looks like it pushed easily up through the 20 day ema and and hit resistence at the 50 day ema. Will be looking to see how it does on a retest of the 20 day.

Hi Cush,

Checking some charts. A fair number of these cloud formations occurred in March when things ran too much off news or false bounces. Notice the March 7th and April 11th similarities. Might be worth watching tomorrow. I'm doing a little work on a couple of others I watch that I think may have the same signal.

Do you have any favourite candlestick indicators that you use that have empirically panned out in this environ?
