Looks like individual issues are going to react differently at least through earnings season, one reason I shorted QQQ instead of any specific company, easier to cover since there will never be news that QQQ beat earnings by 3 cents and went up 20%.
I will hold my QQQ shorts into tomorrow, all the news tonight is mixed and could weigh on the markets still.

That's what I thought when EMLX came out with -47% on revenue. I almost got burn by shorting it. Fortunately I got out the next day with a small gain.
