NASDAQ will hit bottom at 1000 or less if rational valuation would apply but again valuation is in the eye of the beholder ------ YHOO has a drop of 80% ($7.6 million v $60 million last year) in earnings and does not see a quick rebound and the stock rallies.

At 1cent earnings down from 10 cents last year same period ...... now, how you valuate this stock?

Hays is talking about a bull market lasting at least 6 months, but not a real strong bull. He expects more trouble next year. He is comparing this trough to the spring of 1980.

BTW regarding QQQ, the price plunged 50% from the early year high of 69 to the recent low of 34 in a little over 2 months. And this after it had already dropped close to 50%. Truly a slow motion crash. A bounce to the mid to high 40s would not be at all surprising after such a massacre even if the bear still reigns supreme.
