OK, I ordered the book (Do I also have to read it?---just kidding. I tried to search AMZN under Buckley but then went with the title, silly me. I also called IR at NIKU and it was one of those rare curcumstances where you don't get voice mail. She described SRM as everything that is not covered by ERP or CRM. It is a newer area of software offerings than either of those. It applies to all areas of a company other than customer relationships or accounting and finance. She gave departments of IT, Development, and Marketing as examples. Sounds like SRM is intended for communication and collaboration between the people in the company who actually work on the products or services the comapny exists for. The old acronym for these products was PSA--Professional Services Automation. Examples of competitors were ORCL, SEBL,and Peoplesoft. She said that none of these companies have the scope of product offering in SRM that NIKU has...not even close...they are just starting to look at the area. I asked why she thinks many investors think NIKU is worth less than NIKU's cash on hand. She laughed and said no comment. They report in Mid-May...quarter ends April 31 I guess. She suggested looking at IDC reports for more info, I dont have access to that. Later.

OT: this was reported in a recent issue of PC Magazine:

"You may use this SOFTWARE only if you are a member of the Lycos network, and are an individual (i.e., a natural person)...You may not use this SOFTWARE if you are not an individual..., but must obtain a license directly from GlobalSCAPE..."

Sounds like they are trying to protect themselves from those post-bots.
