Those figures are startling confirmation of why I am nibbling in silver stocks.

What seems to have happened is that with Hunt and others driving up silver prices in the 70's, that a lot of production came on line in the 80's. This lead to a glut in inventories with an inevitable price decline. The whole correcting effect has overshot on the down side.

Now the situation is tightening up.'Excess' inventories of silver and gold are being dumped by central banks to prop up the money printing. The American savings rate is negative. The inflation statistics are hogwash and the balance of payments continually ignored. The whole situation just awaits that magic catalyst.

But what and when?
