Don't know why the sarcastic grin.
I'm not in favour of increasing the number and quantity of legal cases... except that in this case, maybe I am and I don't know why it hasn't already been tried.

I accept that they can keep the guns at home as long as they can create secure venues within their own home.
But that's the problem...
The laws in the UK used to allow this: your cabinet had to be at least 1/4" steel (I think - maybe 3/8"), securely bolted/screwed to a solid (brick/concrete) wall, in a room without windows or concealed from view, with approved lock/padlock, etc. It doesn't stop the maniacs. And I honestly don't think that it would be beyond the wit of a moderately determined teenager to access, either, unless you sleep, sh*t and shower with the only key...
Ultimately, why have a gun at home? Why not at the place where it's safe and legal to use it?

As to the bagpipes - obviously, it's to torment the neighbours (or indeed relatives in the same house) without actually giving them grounds for arrest...
