And discrimination is ok because we have FREEDOM of ASSOCIATION. The government can't discriminate, and people who get money from the government can't discriminate, and with the travel cases lots of other businesses that serve people in critical ways cannot discriminate (and I don't think that you can really square that with the constitution which was written by a lot of white guys who REALLY knew how to discriminate, and obviously weren't worried about that at all in the context we are). But individuals and private groups can most certainly discriminate. A black person cannot, for example, successfully sue the KKK for not letting him or her join. The Jewish Defense League does not have to let Farrakan join if they don't want to. America- the freedom to be separate, even the freedom to hate, just not the freedom to act on your hatred in ways that violate the law. It's a good balance.
