That was my thoughts as well. Notice how bad the news is in semiconductor sector and we have a key analyst saying buy.

Many of us might have thought earnings got magically better BECAUSE the Nasdaq was rallying. <g>

No suprise to see a warning anywhere in tech. I doubt this stock heads any lower than the afterhours quote if the Naz is itself in recovery mode.

Lots of "good" news in other stocks this evening. They are rising afterhours (earnings releases) after being cautious or lowering expectations.
My feeling is that NTAP reacts similiar to what other beaten up stocks have done recently. Same applies to EMC.

I am staying bullish on tech and and even on storage at least to Naz 2300---re-evaluate situation at that point.
I do think that once we get past 2000, it will become a floor for the Nasdaq.
Positive market sentiment (leading to improving consumer sentiment) may translate into better IT spending patterns by corporations as well. Orders that were pushed out may materialize.
