when you talk about pro-forma income statement do you mean the exclusion of Goodwill?

I am of the opinion that most companies when they takeover another should take the one-time charge to get rid of the Goodwill off their Balance Sheet.

If GW is off the B/S, then Assets, should be lower.

If not, what do u mean by "pro-forma" income statements?
