Art,

re: "I've been an active investor for more than 45 years, of which the last 21 have been as a professional investor. From my perspective, JJ is rather inexperienced."

From your perspective? As a professional investor, did you take a defensive posture last summer? Or did you ride the tech market down over 50%?

He was right, you were wrong. And all you can do is blame the analysts and the FOMC for a normal semiconductor cycle, amplified by the normal end of a business cycle.

I'll take JJ and his "inexperience".

John

Art,

re: "Hmmm. Let's see, if I recall correctly back in July 2000, SNDK operating earnings were going up at a healthy pace, while the stock was dropping with the rest of the semi's."

A quick look at the SanDisk chart might show that the downtrend in SanDisk stock started well before Joseph's call. And the stock actually rallied after the call, only to resume the downtrend. At the time all the other analyst's were bullish on the sector.

Why was the stock declining? Obviously some experienced professional investors were selling.
