If it doesn't happen, we may all be doomed. Sure, a depression would be awesome! Market shorts will sit beside the longs selling pencils or apples on the street corner, as we are all unemployed. What is wrong with you? The market IS the economy. Are you that niave? Great, you may make a few bucks shorting a few stocks, but you too will soon be unemployed! The current economic environment could collapse! Congrats, you may just destroy the economy. Keep shorting, but after your company downsizes and you get canned, keep paying your gas bill, so sticking your head in the oven will have the desired effect! Shorts hurt the economy... period. Keep shorting stocks, if/when the economy collapses, shorts will be standing in the breadlines beside the longs.
