That wouldn't surprise me a bit. If I held their paper, I'd be doing everything possible to hedge the (rather considerable) risk

I agree. The theory of him trying to levitate the stock into the 20's and then try to sell a secondary (or at least another convertible offering) makes a lot oft sense, as I think their cash flow situation is somewhere between "desparate" and "pre-terminal".

I didn't see him on NBR,: I did see part of his appearance on CNBC this mornng. Nothing really earth-shaking that I heard, discussed the Borders deal.
