If Lam truly believed in a June quarter turnaround, they wouldn't be laying off 15%.

Seems as if there was some type of Power/Telephone glitch which knocked them off the air briefly about 20 minutes into the call and again near the end. If you waited for them to reconnect, the call continued; and is also available in the replay.

During the call, a pick up in quote activity from March was mentioned. If I remember correctly, March was either ZERO quotes or very close to it. NO capacity orders have come in, everything new is technology related.

Most interesting comment is speed of obsolescence for some of the recent fab additions. i.e. Some fabs added 0.8µ capacity which is probably going to just be written off during the 300mm 0.12µ build.
