I guess you are right....although relative to the previous day....more buyers came in.....so wouldn't/couldn't that signal a change in trend (contrary)?

Say we get a grinding day today.....and then we finish lower......and the Ameritrade index zooms to close to 100%.....and then we tank next week...

That'll mean the Ameritraders were increasing their buying as the rally was losing strength...obviously the wrong thing to do...

Maybe some one can step in and be the arbitre on this one....is the relative change more/as important/less important as where it places (net) everyday?

As for selling into that rally.....looks like to me, unless we gap huge tomorrow morning....selling that rally was the RIGHT thing to do.....they can always buy back tomorrow at cheaper prices

As for the specific stock plays....I guess we'll see...but selling Csco and Intel doesn't seem to dumb <yet>...maybe those stocks do rally...but would you buy them here?

I wouldn't...not with the bomb Csco going to drop, and Intel rally of the last few days...

EMC....tougher call....probably clownish there short-term..

Of course, we'll know within the next few trading days if they continue to be the contrarian indicator that they usually are...
