JXM...

I think a lot of "us" would feel that way.

I think back to my first days on SI...three years ago this month, and I just kinda chuckle. Never in my wildest dreams would have ever thought that SI would be come part of my life like has.....More so that the people of SI would become part of my life like you all have.

You guys and gals are great...

Although I started (for a short time) on the YHOO boards, SI quickly became home. I left once, came back again....and I too will miss it if it goes.....but in a way, it is like growing up in a neighborhood only to see the neighborhood decay.....you leave, not because you don't have good memories of the place it used to be and the people who used to be your neighbors, but because those memories aren't enough to overcome the present reality of what the place has become.

And when you leave, you often look for a place that evokes what was good about the original neighborhood to begin with. Maybe Bob can help construct such a place.....if he can't, somebody else will...... I have little hope that the present landlords of SI have any understanding how to bring about the changes necessary for this place to become what it once was, and could have remained. Sad.
