Your membership is not really free, but rather subsidized by others members who have paid their dues. Or perhaps someone gave you a membership as a gift. Either way it is a wonderful gift to live in a free country where you can speak your mind, to people who agree and disagree with what you have to say.

I will appease (give in to the demands?) myself with the opinions of the people I know who are brilliant who don't mind hearing my ramblings because they are, at least, amusing. Is X making demands on you?
