I remember on many occasions during the past several years that comex inventories were dropping to record low levels, there was not enough physical gold around to close out looming contracts, etc, etc, etc. Voila, gold pennies from heaven and kaput goes the gold price. This is like a record that has a scratch in it and repeatedly skips over the same sentence.
When the market looks favorable for gold, investors take a closer look, see the same cast of inept managers in control over the producers and move on.
