Aggie, good morning.

In my area, EPA requires a special formulated gas. One of the chemical for this type of gas is in short supply. I expect the gas price to move up 30% or more this summer.
According to Murphy's law, the bad news often come at the same time. So I am bearish.

My guess.

The pain of the recession is not over. More lay-offs and more reports of the poor economy to come. But the market is a leading indicator and we are near a bottom, maybe another test of the lows. The economy will improve before the end of the year and market will start up months before the economy. The January cuts will start to help the economy this summer, IMO.
