PPI for March: -0.1% ..Case of FED easing becomes better, first that 'stagflation' theory is out of the window. Bears sold the market twice on these fears as late as Friday sell off was CPI driven and stagflation driven with PPI number that is not rested.

Retail Sales (MARTS) for March: -0.2%, it was expected as unchageg but some expected it to be much worst, it is in the middle towards lower end makes a good case for further rate cuts, Jobless Claims for 04/07/01: 392,000 this is a level that was seen at pre-recession 1991-92 levels, pretty good level that may encourage FED to cut soon.

Overall market takes out 1182-96 band soon..

Ike

continued layoffs over the 400,000 level will be recessionary..

however i think it would prompt the FED to be agressive...
