From Whisper.com:

It may sound strange, but there is a widely held tech stock that has not warned of lower earnings and analysts actually think the company will report a strong quarter. The company has consistently beaten analyst projections and during the past quarter analysts have been raising their estimates for Juniper Networks (JNPR). Juniper is expected to report earnings on Thursday of $0.25 share and revenue of $335 million. In anticipation of the company's earnings, Juniper's stock price has increased 45% in the past week.

However, even for Juniper, some analysts have been cautious and the recent price increase could lead to a "sell on the news" situation on Thursday. Christin Armacost at SG Cowen told clients recently that the company could report revenue slightly below estimates. Several other analysts have expressed concern about Juniper's margins during the quarter due to the company's new M5 and M10 edge routers are in a more competitive environment.

Nikos Theodosopoulos at UBS Warburg is one of the few analysts that has an estimate below $0.25 and only Gina Sockolow at Brean Murray has an estimate above $0.25. The Earnings Whisper ® number is $0.26 per share.

Juniper had previously planned to release earnings after the market closes on Thursday, but has changed the time to before the market opens due to the market being closed on Good Friday. You may listen to Juniper's conference call at juniper.net or by calling (888) 849-9221.

I'm astonished that JNPR is holding up, with a forward PE of more than 40, with guidance like that.
