*Fechtor Negative on Semis : Respected research firm Fechtor Detwiler issues a bearish note on the semi sector, believes that the second leg of the down-cycle is about to begin; first leg was excess inventory, the second is severe pricing pressure. Specifically notes price cuts by STMicro (STM) with implications for ONNN, IRF, and FCS; also notes that customers of cos like CSCO, SCMR, NT, and CS are demanding 40% price cuts and that these firms are in turn demanding cuts from comm IC companies.

ST, why short so many, I find it easier to short fewer in the same sector, though agree your all those on your list has downside potential. Since they are all basically similar, you could hit QQQs for diversification and concentrate more capital on JNPR AMCC and RIMM...
