paulr1: The service for the past few days has been the worst I can remember. Getting charts to download in a timely manner is out the window. In fact I can't get charts to load for extended periods of time. (I am not just talking a few minutes.)

Not to mention the time/sales delays and quote sheet pauses followed by burst of data updates. Couple this with the Level II corruption and you have a service that is for all practical purposes useless.

To the group,
We definitely feel for your continued frustration, and are working to get this IP Feed up as soon as possible. Part of the current delay in releasing the IP Feed has to do with the fact that our Mountain View farm has to be moved to another location. Our current target for completion of this move is October 15th, however there is hard limit of October 31st... the date that our current location is being shutdown. Basically, there is no way we will not have the feed up by Oct. 31st.

We are also in process of opening a 3rd farm in Boston, and increasing the number of servers in Herndon by 140% (from 5 to 12.) Our first priority though remains on getting the IP Feed up as soon as possible on the new mtnview farm.

Thanks for you reply, Paul. I suppose my question is now the following.

At the end of 4-8 weeks will there be any realistic improvement in reliability without tiered service or "new ways to lessen the number of requests the server receives by caching data"? The only answer available on this thread is "no".

Thanks.
