Thomas,

If you can believe it, the Democrats are pinning their hopes on the death
of Senator Thurmond (R-SC) in stopping the Bush agenda. Does that
hit a new low or what? If the Democrats re-invented themselves in a way
that Americans would embrace, they might come back to power but right
now its like the main support base for the Democratic Party is illegal
immigrants, Red China, and welfare recipients...not what you would call
a strong political base.
