i think that tightening margin requirements a few yrs back when he made the "irrational exuberance" comment would have been a good move. Much of the bubble was fueled by margin. Which begs the question: why did AG make that comment, with respect to the stock market not the economy, then do nothing about it?

Tightening money supply in Feb or Mar of 2000 would have only gotten us to this bear market quicker. Is that what you wanted?
