Since liberals are new to finance, I will keep it simple: One doesn't "pay off" a national debt without destroying the national economy. One outgrows the debt by minimizing the cancer of government and leaving the formerly-wasted resources in the hands of the productive. The fact that the vast majority of the productive wind up voting against the left is just a dividend...
