I agree that FN made a smart move. They know that gold will eventually move much higher and will remove those hedges in time.

But no one can really predict when the next spike in gold will take place. IMO, the timing of this move has nothing to do with the consolidation in the industry, which may or may not happen. IMO we will remain will several tiers companies... seniors, mid-tiers, juniors... producers and explorers.. Thie number will simply go down somewhat.

I believe gold will much much sooner and higher than the market think at this point.
