clearly there are inflationary pressures in some areas of the economy...Californian electricity being a prime example. but i think they actually contribute to the secular deflationary trend, by reducing demand elsewhere.
admittedly the jury's still out on who's right...as mentioned before, i don't entirely dislike the CRB and its components, due to both fundamental and technical considerations.
and i fully agree with Bugos that the so-called 'free market' has been replaced by a sort of semi-socialist statism, in which effectively everything is manipulated by the bankers...and it's an inherently unstable, and unsustainable system. to make it work, leverage has been piled upon leverage, in the biggest credit excess the world has ever seen...
