Those companies will simply have to continue to do layoffs and become much leaner and efficient to make money in today's environment.

QQQ closed today at 42.8. My sell order at 45 still stands. So obviously I don't see much more upside near-term.

Another area I have gone back into that is doing well is emerging market funds These essentially mimic the US markets, but with more volatility (though not nearly as much as QQQ)

Finally much to my amazement even gold stocks took off today. It has been a long time since my three primary investment areas -- QQQ, emerging markets, and gold -- all did well at the same time.
