JSB,

I wouldn't get too deep into this market. From what I read among posters I respect most, this uptick will likely
run out of gas in a week or two. Have you ever run across Zeev Hed in your SI travels? He is a fine person, a very astute trader, and a great market timer. Here's where he posts most often.....

Actually, it should be called "Zeev's Channeling Thread", as I think he has kind of taken it over from Steve (whoever he was). Check out his comments on the longevity of this current run and see what you think. He believes this is a temporary recovery, with the real bottom coming near the end of this summer, or in early fall.

Nice move in CATS today, eh? Also, LPAC has been on an uptick, too. Dale got me interested in it again last week when he mentioned how low it has dropped. Picked up 5K shares @ $1.69 and its been moving up smartly. My major positions are in these 2 stocks (HUGE position in CATS!). Little downside, unlimited upside (I hope!).

Hope all is well with you. Where do you live in the great State of Texas? I was stationed there in the AF back in the late 50's at San Antonio, enjoyed it a lot.

Regards,

Knip

It was a great week on the long side, halving my YTD losses and beating the Naz pretty handily with a balanced portfolio. I will be happy if it keeps up.

But the comments from the "other" Dale in the next message are worth considering too. For now, I am pleased the market is reacting well to mediocre earnings. One theory is that we already saw capitulation so the massive selling on every uptick is over.

Or maybe not. I won't overbalance either way until we see where we are headed. Options expiration next Friday will probably take us up some more, with all those rookie puts out there to be vaporized.
