He really deserves that!! I didn't use Anders's first product, Nascom Pascal (on Nascom), myself, but I used the next generation, Compas Pascal (on CP/M), and all the generations since: Poly Pascal (CP/M & DOS), and later Turbo Pascal (DOS), Borland Pascal (DOS&Win), Delphi. His work has been enormous inspiration for many people here close to the Technical University of Denmark (5 miles away).

When I look at Microsoft .net and C#, I see big fingerprints from Anders. When it comes to software quality, Anders is a big asset to Microsoft, but when you look at how Borland stocks are today, I wonder if Microsoft .net might mean the same to Microsoft stocks... Borland was once the third biggest software company in the world. Good software quality doesn't mean big bucks.
