what's changed other than price action has seen a rise over the last couple weeks?

Do I have to remind you how it works? The market moves up, people have to have a reason for that, so they start looking for things that are positive. If the market continues up from here in the next few weeks I can guarantee that there will be articles in the press about how it wasn't as bad as we thought it was. Sentiment follows price and fundamentals are either important or completely disregarded, whatever is most in the interest of making money in the market.

Sentiment, which I have consistently stated is the technical tool most useful during times of extremes.
