The lag between ship and recognition only applies where customer acceptance of the product is in doubt. i.e. for new products.

so we can expect to see a bulge of unrecognized revenue with the technology evaluations underway which would taper out as the shipments shift to capacity buys.

I haven't seen any pronouncement, but I'd expect no change. companies will report bookings and billings.

It should not affect orders but would delay revenue recognition. So, btb would be higher than otherwise when the method kicks in. [smaller number in denominator of book-to-bill]. When does the new method begin or has it started already?
