You don't realize hoe people buy computers - although you claim to do so.

They look at NAME BRAND, price and speed. And in that NAME BRAND, Intel is a large factor.

When the 1 GHz number and Intel are combined, and the price is in the appropriate range, most PC buyers hit the "Purchase Button".

That's why AMD could only muster a measly 17% market share during the time when Intel was operating at its worst and AMD was operating at its best.

Now, Intel is doing really well from an operaitonal-execution standpoint, and AMD is back to tripping over its own baloney-stick.
