Dude,
I said both lost. Now expect China to agressively challenge US reconnaissance missions over South China Sea on an ongoing basis. China like other third world countries will grieve temporarily over it s pilot and move on. If "ONE" US pilot dies, entire country's stomach churns. You guys are becoming overly sensitized to losses and will bite this country hard when the casualties will start. I advocate a hard line position and hard heart when dealing with such situations, but at the same point be practical to the needs of other countries ( a point lost on right wing Rambos).
PS: Come on think about it, I am with few right wing nuts on this one. You guys should be haling me:)

Chinese Air Force - One Dead Pilot, Scratch one plane.
Americans - No Casualties, one plane temporarily grounded.

Who won?

Message not included in diplomatic language: Mess with our reconnaissance, you'll end up dead.
