Hello Hiam...well as you know finding a bottom is an inexact science at best and a fools game at worst. We all know they are best seen in hindsight. I have been accumulating sub 2000 on the Comp given the confluence of factors laid out in post #74859. As i mentioned in another post there can be no guarantee that we are at the pivot point as of yet. However I currently am about 50% invested and am picking my spots on weakness. And I fully expect that the unemployment numbers will pick up in the months ahead as we all know they are a lagging indicator. I prefer to watch the level of insider buying, historical impact of interest rates, levels of inflation, and some other technical indicators that tend to be leading indicators. I am of the opinion that the economy turns between Q4 and the first half of 2002 and expect the market to turn up in advance.

I do hope we get a further retest as I have further cash to deploy. You can be sure of one thing...that pullbacks will be scrutinized as to the volume and nature thereof. As you probably gather I am more longer term oriented than many in my current buying.

Good investing...
