Although I might quibble on some points, I think those are reasonable criticisms overall.

i also have a fundamental issue with bob because he doesn't invest on company fundamentals. this is one main reason why the qqq socked him so hard - he didn't see the crash toward fair value coming.

He doesn't seem to explain much of anything when investing in stocks except for a "story" of how the company is going to do this and this.

Seems like there are at least several people for Bob to be:

1. conservative, plodding but safe, fundamental, longterm adviser to the masses.
2. Hell-Bent-for-Leather trader.
3. Stock analyst
4. Egotistical, arrogant, thin-skinned talkinghead.
5. Offensive, arrogant, egotistical, thin-skinned business owner

I think many thought he was #1 all the time, any time. When he veers off the straight and narrow to be any of the others, that's when most of what he does as #1 gets thrown out the window.

Unfortunately, #1 is losing to the other personalities as it probably is rather boring for him. Is investing supposed to be exciting all the time?
