I fully agree especially since when there is a dog in the index, they just can it and replace it with another good runner.

Unfortunately, some indexes are getting too focused. Note the NDX weightings have MSFT making up 9.88% of the index now. MSFT gets hammered and the whole NDX/QQQ falls hard. The top three stocks makes up 20% of the index weighting.

I have QQQ LEAP calls and am short September QQQ calls. I will likely hedge more by buying QQQ Puts Monday before the CPI, INTC report etc.
