Don't think DoCoMo is using 4.096 Mcps. The great chip rate compromise (offerred in November 98 by ERICY) finalized in Jume 99 moved the WCDMA chip rate to 3.84 Mcps as compared to the cdmaOne/cdma2000 chip rate of 3.6864 Mcps.
