I speculate that we will re-test the recent lows and then rally into the FED meeting. IBM, INTC and some other biggies earnings will matter plenty. MOT rallied after worse than expected results and the sharp rally in the face of bad news looks more like a major and successful short squeeze than a bona fide rally of 30% to 50% in love stocks.
Those accumulating stock are in no rush to buy ................ those covering short are the front runners.

I am speculating the exact opposite. A very strong rally which results from short covering continuing for about 3 to 4 weeks at the most. Hedge funds will be going a little more long for a short time. Investors waiting for the market to turn may decide this is it and dump everything they have into the market.

After that, the Nasdaq starts heading south for a while. Only when companies feel that their stocks are worth something and start repurchasing will then descent come to an end. That did not happen in this latest drop and is cause for concern for the bullish case. No insider buying had emerged lately--another problem for the bull side.

Basically a short term VERY bullish and intermediate term bearish outlook is how I see it unfolding.

Safe areas likely to be energy by then--a month or two from now.
