I must say, I've absolutely loved the fundamentals of SSTI,
...
but a P/E of 7 while still growing substantially

I think you need to do some more reading. It's called declining sales on a commodity product.

This last qtr:
biz.yahoo.com
Net revenues for the first quarter were $86.3 million, compared with $161.0 million in the fourth quarter of 2000

heh- im not trying to put up a roadblock in front of everything you say- but re: SSTI I had to comment..

Look at how much cash they burnt last quarter.. Also look at just how horrendous the pricing has become.. Do you realize how much inventory is in the channel?? Everyone jumped on the flash bandwagon and I cant see how they can make a statement saying the situation should improve.. This from a company that told us 6 months ago that they would blow away estimates for the current quarter as well as for 2001-2002.. Than 1 month later warns..

Flash memory has yet to even come close to expectations.. Its actually very strange that demand is so pitifull.. I should know- they built flash sales into my quota and I gotta be honest- nobody is buying.. I wish I could stress this more.

Honestly- Im not being a jerk.. It just happens to be something im very familiar with, and although stocks like SSTI and SNDK look very cheap, and MU and INTC attractive to some bottom feeders- Im trying to interject a different opinion, which is that they are poor investments at this time.. Too much uncertaintity.

SSTI is another one I may short if it gets out of hand.. It was bidding at 9-10 on Thurs after hours, but I doubt it will hold :)
