Maybe you've forgotten that the Nicaraguans were bringing in Soviet tanks and Migs with the full blessing of Jimmy Carter before Ronald Reagan put an end to it. No I remember, after the fall of the Somoza dictatorship in 1979, it was Carter's failure to maintain a U.S. friendly leadership down there that led to all the problems. By the way, what was the reason for the U.S. support of the bloody and corrupt Somoza dynasty when it started in 1933? Must of been the Communist hoards back then too; it certainly was not our business interests. Try not to be so cynical and disingenuous. Sorry Tom, I love my country, but I think it is important to look at U.S. through the eyes of others.
