I don't know about Matt, never run across FattMatt, but I'll put my money on Bob. If he's got anything to say about it, I don't think it'll be a haven just for hypsters. But time will tell. SI has been dying for the past two years or so; if I weren't a legacy poster but had to pay monthly now, I wouldn't be here.

IHub is, at least, very fast, unlike, say, MotleyFool which has some good posters but on dial up is depressingly slow.

As to the quality of posting on IH, well, if quality folks go there the posting will be quality. If it turns into another Yahoo, I have better places to go.

Time will tell.

LOL! SI Admin (Jeff) asked me about that, too. John was here and he'd logged in on his account, but I was logged in another window and went to show him which thread I was talking about and I suspect when I clicked on it, I became the currently-logged in person. We logged me out and logged him back in and it worked as expected, so it wasn't a glitch here after all.

The person who starts a thread can delete any posts he wants to.

It's important to note that any deletion has to go through me. There haven't been a lot of deletions since I started. I don't know if there were before then, but there haven't been many since, and each post that was deleted was one I would've deleted too.

set up more for hypsters than anything else.

Anyone who's known me very long (more than 3 years) knows I don't play that. Not even remotely. In fact, most of my detractors will vouch for that. It's the biggest thing they complain about.
